Brought from the coast of Goa in 1688, Cosimo III de Medici fell in love with this special variety and ordered the construction of a greenhouse in the Villa Medicea di Castello, called "Stufa dei Mugherini," from the ancient Florentine name of the jasmine. ABOUT THE BRAND : The Florentine brand, considered the oldest pharmacy in the world, was founded in 1221, and today still occupies its historic shop on Via della Scala in Florence. Its beloved fragrances and scented bath and body care continue to be crafted exclusively in Italy and sought after worldwide.
