Handmade Small Bell Ornament

Handcrafted in villages in the Indian state Gujarat, these polished brass and copper bells are traditionally used in villages to decorate domestic animals and the entrances of homes.To create these bells, artisans hammer a strip of iron until it's pliable and fold it into a cylinder, locking the open ends. Then, another strip of iron is cut into a circle, which is larger than the base of the cylindrical piece prepared earlier. This circle is then beaten and shaped into a dome. Next, the dome shape is fitted on the cylinder and the pieces are beaten together to create the bell, while a thing strip is added to make the loop on top of the bell.
