The planter's outer wall can be filled with gravel or sand to weigh it down to withstand windy conditions. A drainage hole can be added to the area indicated on the bottom of the planter. Drill with a 1/4" bit through both walls for proper drainage. If using the planter indoors, be sure to use a protective saucer to protect floors from spills and water damage.
